I bought a silmilar model (169692) on sale and wish I'd bought 2. I have it running a lot during Winter. The only 'problem' I had is when I plugged it into a surge-protector power strip instead of directly into the wall. It would shut off after a while. Replugged back into the wall outlet, no problem/worked perfectly. My guess is the added resistance of the power strip/cord affects the unit somehow, so it protects itself by shutting off.
